Diabeet capsule is not a diabetes medicine — and not Diabeet M tablets
When you search for “Diabeet”, three different things show up. This page is only about the first one.
| Diabeet capsule (this page) | Diabeet M / Diabeet VG | |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | Food supplement (nutraceutical) with plant ingredients | Prescription tablets by Fortune Laboratories (glimepiride + metformin / voglibose) |
| Form | Capsules, 20 per pack | Tablets in strips |
| Where | Order form on this page, a consultant calls back | Pharmacy, only with a doctor’s prescription |
| Replaces diabetes treatment? | No | It is treatment — only your doctor changes it |
Diabeat (spelt with an “a”, made by Hamdard and others) is another product again. If your doctor prescribed Diabeet M, buy it at a pharmacy with your prescription — this page is about a different product.

- 1 pack = 20 capsules = 10 days at 2 capsules a day
- Minimum course 1 month = 3 packs ≈ ₹7,470 at the offer price

Pharmacies or Amazon? The offer does not include pharmacy sales. Listings on marketplaces may appear, but we cannot confirm that they are original.
Diabeet capsule ingredients
The offer names five ingredients. Amounts in mg have not been published yet — we will add them when the detailed composition arrives.
- Bitter melon extract (karela)Momordica charantiaA green vegetable cooked in kitchens all over India.
- Fenugreek (methi)Trigonella foenum-graecumA familiar spice: seeds and leaves are used in everyday Indian food.
- Berberry (barberry)BerberisA thorny shrub; its roots and bark are a source of berberine.
- Gymnema (gurmar)Gymnema sylvestreA climbing plant described in traditional Ayurveda texts.
- ResveratrolA substance found in grape skins and some berries.
Several of these are ingredients traditionally used in Indian cooking and Ayurveda. That tells you what they are — not what this capsule does.
How to take Diabeet capsule
- Morning and evening Take 1 capsule twice a day — 2 capsules a day in total.
- After meals Swallow the capsule after food with a glass of water.
- At least a month The minimum course is 1 month; it can be longer. Do not take more than 2 capsules a day.
- Medicines first If you take any regular medicine, ask your doctor before you start.
One pack of 20 capsules lasts 10 days.
Diabeet capsule side effects and who should not take it
- Do not stop or change your diabetes medicine (metformin, glimepiride, gliclazide, sitagliptin, voglibose, insulin and others) on your own — only your doctor can. In the first weeks check your sugar more often.
- Risk of low sugar (hypoglycaemia). Bitter melon, gymnema, fenugreek and berberine can add to the effect of diabetes medicines. Signs: sweating, shaking, fast heartbeat, sudden hunger, confusion. What to do: take 15 g of fast sugar (glucose tablets or a glass of juice) and check again after 15 minutes; no better — see a doctor.
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding — not allowed (berberine, bitter melon, fenugreek). Children — not allowed. Planning a pregnancy — ask your doctor.
- G6PD deficiency — bitter melon is not suitable.
- Blood thinners (warfarin, aspirin, clopidogrel): fenugreek and resveratrol — doctor first. Stop 2 weeks before any surgery.
- Berberine interacts with a number of medicines (cyclosporine, some sedatives and others). If you take medicines regularly, ask your doctor first.
- Allergy to fenugreek — possible cross-reaction with peanuts and chickpeas.
- Liver or kidney disease — only after a doctor’s advice.
- Stomach upset, loose stools or nausea are possible. If they do not pass, stop and see a doctor.
When to see a doctor
Call 112 or an ambulance 108 at once if there is:
- low sugar with fainting or fits;
- signs of ketoacidosis — nausea, vomiting, a fruity (acetone) smell on the breath, fast breathing, drowsiness;
- a very high reading on your glucose meter.
See your doctor soon if readings below 70 mg/dL keep coming back.
What science says about these ingredients
Bitter melon, fenugreek, gymnema and berberine have been studied in small trials. The results are mixed: many studies were short or of low quality, and doses differed from study to study. This particular mix, in these amounts, has not been studied at all.
A food supplement is not a way to manage diabetes — diagnosis and treatment belong with a doctor. Independent overviews:
